Red Rocks

As the crow flies, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre is only about 3 mi (5 km) from our house. Seating close to 10,000, Red Rocks is a very busy entertainment center from late spring to early fall. Everyone performs here. The Beatles sang here on their first North American tour - they were so unknown at the time, they did not even sell out. The Grateful Dead, Leonard Cohen, Denver Symphony, Neil Young, Norah Jones, Willie Nelson ... well, really, the list is rather long. The amphitheater is nested intimately between two very large outcroppings of decidedly red rock. . It is a magical place.
