Manchester Meanderings

Mike and I took ourselves off for most of the day, as Tom was at home, and no visitors expected until 5pm, to give the little family some time alone. Also, it's our last full day together for a few weeks, as he flies back to Portugal tomorrow.

I was already impressed with Manchester, but even more so now. So many gorgeous parks, so many huge trees, so many interesting people, so many great places to eat and drink. Here, Mike is inspecting a real ash growing between the roots of a stainless steel one outside the Whitworth Gallery. We were impressed with the exhibits inside as well, and loved eating our lunch in the outside bit of the café you can see after the glass bit.

Gratefuls:
- a special day with my best friend, exploring and chatting
- Manchester's canals (though one bit was decidedly dodgy)
- Eden's first bath in the big bath with her Mummy, now that Ju can have a bath again; she loved it, of course
