An early birthday celebration

Brian and Jean, and Eric and Kay came to see us this afternoon. We ate carrot cake, macaroons and thumbnail biscuits (see yesterday).

Here are my willing victims friends, caught by the camera before they went home.

I was in Hexham shortly after 9 this morning and bought a pair of trainers in Millet (great reductions in there right now). I was fitted for my new reading glasses - very exciting - and I bought a few bits and pieces from the fruit and veg stall.

Home in good time before Clare came to cut my hair. It's shorter and tidier. (Margret next door says it looks like an Egyptian Queen but I was not sure that she liked it! Yes, she reads my blips!!)

I realise that more baking is required tomorrow ready for whoever else comes to see Mum to wish her Happy Birthday. Kay managed to find a card that says Happy 101st Birthday. How cool is that?
