Lions in Savute

Today we moved on from Moremi through Savute to Chobe. The all day drive over rough sand and dirt tracks took us through some wild and beautiful bush country and allowed us to see lots more animals.

Today's blip shows one of the highlights of the day : these lions in the shade of a tree.

Another highlight came a bit later on when we parked in the shade of another tree to have our picnic lunch. As we got out of our vehicle a leopard suddenly shot out from the bushes right beside us! Fortunately it took off into the long grass away from us rather than heading towards us! Shame I can only post one blip!
