This has been flowering all summer

A busy old day today. Bit of gardening till it got too hot then off to Houghton on the hill church for a concert by the Swaffham Shantymen now known as Pot of Gold. Following on from the film I saw a couple of days ago we've got a full quota of shanties this month. Quick trip home and then out to a quiz night in a local village. Unlike our village they don't have a village hall so a marquee was erected on the playground. This worked well until it got dark the candles on the table were very pretty but didn't help when writing the answers. All the teams had the same problem though and we managed to come second. First prize was quite impressive second prize didn't exist. A good night all the same
