We had house guests…

… They brought lovely flowers and biscuits (and wine). (Too kind). I was too busy to photograph anything yesterday.
After they left today I found this exquisite little box of chocolates left behind for us.

We feel very fortunate to have been able to spend such a happy weekend with people we love.

We’re in that phase of clearing up and putting the house back together.. I love this part because even amongst the mayhem of washing up every cup and plate we own, and packing up the leftovers for tomorrow (Joy!)… It’s still possible, underneath, to discern an element of tidiness and cleanliness (!) remaining from the mad panic before they arrived :-)
