Another Great Blue Heron

Behind the salon is a small pond, surrounded by high grass and weeds. I had just finished a customers hair, and walked outside for a breath of fresh air. It was such a beautiful day today. I walked over to the pond, and sitting on the edge was a Great Blue Heron.
He looked strange the way he was sitting. I ran to my car to get my camera. I took this shot, which I thought was intereting, because he appears to be sitting on his wings! He was also making a strange sound. (Maybe he was crying because his wings hurt!)
When I came back out about an hour later, he was gone
