SY 5: 17.9 MILES TODAY, 71 MILES DONE

TODAY'S Blip id s 2 fer.....
Today is Labor Day in the US.  It's a day off to celebrate all the workers who get up and go to work all the rest of the year.  At the top of my photo is the American Flag.  Today we celebrate all the hard working Americans that have made our country great.
    The flowers are on a Hibiscus bush, that beautiful peach color that I have posted before.  They are beautiful and plentiful!
     Yesterday's day of rest worked wonders.  My knees felt great today.   The weather was great, the breeze was cool,  and the miles rolled easily.
    After a shower,  I went out to my favorite Deli restaurant and had a great lunch.  I was puttering around the villa this afternoon when, out of the Blue, there was a loud crack......   It was one of those rogue strikes of lightning, close by, by by a deafening clap of thunder.
Lightning.    That rogue lightning is something we all   take very seriously.
