Hetty absolutely hates visiting her groomer. But it's done now for the next 8 weeks. She looks gorgeous. Her coat is so pale after this hot summer. Sun bleached.

There is a species of wasp at the water's edge of one of the pounds. Jo was badly stung a few weeks ago and she reported the event to the Canal and River trust who have an office at the top of the flight. 

Howard, one of Kelvin's dogs, disturbed the nest yesterday. Not only was he chased by a number of them, one flew up Kelvin's nose and stung him. As a result his face swelled up and he ended up in hospital.  

Jo practically dragged a canal official to the spot and the area has been taped off.

I have avoided that particular pound since Jo was stung. 

We've had some rain. Showers blow in and out as it is windy. No weather has hampered any walks or plans today.
