Impending Storm

Got to Eurotunnel in plenty of time for dog check-in, etc - then had an hour's delay as they weren't able to cope with the number of vans requiring single-deck transport. Presumably some regular carriages out of order, as they had been happy to take the bookings.

Stocked up with dog food in Calais but decided to leave our own food shopping until closer to our destination - then got thoroughly soaked in a thundery shower in the supermarket car park. Now in a vast motorhome stopover alongside the harbour at Le Crotoy. Not a luxurious campsite, but it's convenient & we've rarely been unable to find a space.

Walked across to the harbour briefly to capture the view in the fading light, between storms. And yes, we have decided to stick to the cooler coastal areas instead of going east to the Jura. We'll go back to the latter on another trip, when it's at its best, not after a drought!
