Class 37 Heritage Diesel

After a morning of screen time with work calls it was great to get out for a long walk from the house this afternoon.

The hedgerows were full of blackberries that seemed revived by the welcome recent rain. However, we still need much, much more rain. The fields are cracked wide and will need many a deluge yet to close them.

As we walked through this field we encountered a horse wearing a coat, mask and hat with stylish ear flaps! We assumed it was to protect it from pesky flies.

A very different source of horsepower growled along the embankment at the bottom of the field. It was a heritage diesel pulling the penultimate service of the day.

An early night to get some sleep before a voluntary night shift.
