A short foreword...
It’s been a busy period, sometimes with fun things, other times with the different types of election work. So it’s 5 days since I’ve blipped and now I’m doing a blip burst, filling all the gaps and getting up to date. So here comes the first of 5…

Glorious Evening
I worked taking votes again today, in Älandsbro for a few hours. Another 90 votes came in and at times the queue was out of the door!  Voting in advance is popular in Sweden.
We'd organised to meet Livia and Roger at Sunnet, a place we have stayed at several times but which was new for them.  As soon as my election work was over we set off for the wilds. When we arrived L&R were in place. The weather was as perfect as it could be - clear air, bright sun, virtually no wind.
We said our hellos and started with a glass of Prosecco, sitting in the sun, as blipped here.
After a while the sun went behind those trees and we retreated indoors (in van really) for dinner. The shared evening was lovely and it was nearing midnight when we said goodbye and moved over to our van. The sky was absolutely clear and so far from street lights the Milky Way was clear above our heads. On the horizon the Aurora was shining and as I watched it built up to curtains rippling across the northern section of sky.
What a delicious ending to such a good day.
