Book Club

Planned awhile ago, this was the first in person meeting of the book club since before Covid.  We got a day all 10 could come...now, one is home with hospice, and one forgot about a family visit she'd scheduled.   11:30 was the time....there were 6.   OK, lets start..a gorgeous day on the deck of my friend R with this fabulous view of Lake Washington(blipped before Im sure) .  Fabulous food.
At 1:00 the other 2 show up.  that's why two have lunch salad  and the rest are on dessert..(you can check out all the food) .  A very "interesting" meeting to talk about if and how and when to proceed.    Many memory issues in the way.  This is life.  It's exhausting.  I had to come home 4 hours later and have a rest at least.     I might add that we did talk books…our favorite summer reads…so varied were they! 

AND poor Fiona just hung out with her phone, but has her outfits for the week all picked out. and her backpack ready.  ..NO school tomorrow!!   NO plans for when it might start.    She's "annoyed!"   Heck yes, we're all more than annoyed!   Maple seems out of sorts with all the changes and we've got her in a diaper most of the time.   But I think Fiona's bored with her phone so now we're talking about crafty projects!   Yes!!    Tomorrow's another day......
