Thursday: Champagne Bar

It was my aunty’s birthday today so we took her out this evening to the Champagne Bar in the Spanish City, followed by a meal at ‘La Cassetta’, a restaurant which does both Greek and Italian food.  

Earlier in the day various relatives had come over, bearing cards and gifts.

We had, like many other people, been glued to the TV this afternoon, anxious not to miss anything.  It was while we were at the Champagne Bar that we heard the news that The Queen had died.  It really is the end of an era.
