A bit bleak

I chose this image to try to express how I feel about having a Secretary of State for health who votes against abortion provision, and a secretary of state for energy who is against renewable sources of power and questions climate change.
However today will now be memorable because the Queen died. Although I’m not keen on the monarchy, she has always been there, as I was born two months after her coronation. She was a reliable constant, and represented the values of duty and honour, rather in the way that my dad did, though on a larger scale. All this talk of King Charles is just confusing - makes me think of the ringletty one in 1660.
I’m very pleased she had a short illness - she was working on Tuesday. I think the death of one very tiny very old lady reminds us of others - and a lot of us older ones will also be thinking of our mums.
Also the last time I saw her she was having tea with Paddington. How good is that:)
