The Face
..in every parish across the land.
Condolence Book
Executed impeccably, as planned, across the country I imagine, a standard black tablecloth, a photo (dated in churches around hear) and condolence book appeared in our church the morning after The Queen's death. White flowers seem to be standard as well (only based on seeing The Minster's table as well today).
Flags fully masted from midday for 24 hours; bells un-muffled for the day of accession too.
The King (my grandson)
.. swings, minster and ice cream again. Pleased he remembered the mice carved into a particular chair at the cathedral and asked for a watermelon ice cream as per last time too.
edit The Head Verger gave TK a high five as we left the Chapter House; typical of the warmth in this church.
