WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

A Grand Day Out!

We took Yurii and Tonya for an afternoon drive today.
First to Settle to see the Hydro Power Screw (I don’t know what it’s really called) then to the massive Hoffman Lime Kilns, then the Ribblehead Viaduct, then to Hawes where we had a cupppa and cake and lastly to Giggleswick School Chapel.
What a very beautiful little church, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one quite as lovely. The school itself is also a lovely building as were the grounds.
There was book of condolences there which I signed and so did Tonya and Yurii.
The weather was mostly really good but at times on the cool side.

When we got home Tonya and Yurii insisted on making the tea, yummy!

Bella was funny today, when we got to Ribblehead, Frank wanted to stay in the car as he os very achey just now, so we three set off with Bella on the lead, well, she just lay down and would not budge. In the end Frank got out of the car and came with us - Bella then trotted happily along with us. If anyone lagged behind she would not move till we were all together again.

We’re really tired now so off to bed.

Archeology

Archeology is digging up our past
Getting to the bones of it
Finding the pots and pans of it
The fossils and the weapons of it
The jewels and the tools of it
The dwellings and the graves of it.

If those ancient folk could see our world
What would they make of it?

Goodnight Blippers!
Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts this week ;-) X
