Echinoderms.
A very low tide day, blue sky and pleasantly warm. We’d a lovely walk on the beach, right to the end. Good for well being… and away from media meltdown on Royal matters. Echinoderms are a group of animals that include star fish and sea urchins etc. There were bands of dead, heart shaped, sea urchins towards north end of the beach (also extra photo). They’re often called sea potatoes. The dead shells, or tests, are very fragile and thin, with lovely fine detail. Not for the first time I collected a few “echinocardium cordatum.” I think they’re lovely.
Older son and daughter-in-law were in England visiting. Their wee daft dog met her brother. Great photos. Younger son’s rugby was off, a lot of sport cancelled today.
