A last hug...
...for a little while.
Sad to say bye to my Mom, she was off very early to go look after my sister's kids in Southampton.
Danny worked miracles with our luggage and somehow we got everything packed. Dad cooked us a delicious breakfast as we knew lunch might not happen today.
Church was great, brilliant to see various people and be prayed for by Madeline...and great to collect a very happy Asha after her double sleepover!! We left church early to get to the airport - Gill was amazing and took us. We weren't expecting the airport to be so jam packed with people. It felt like a very tiring experience with heavy backpacks and nowhere to set up camp. we found a spot on the floor which worked well, but with tiredness and a bit of sadness and an hours delay, we were all ready to just be at home!
Great to see Stephen waiting for us at the other end. We got back home just after 9pm. The kids enjoyed rediscovering their spaces again.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) The past 3 weeks - they've been absolutely wonderful.
2) Arriving home safely.
3) The kids being showered and in bed and ready for day 1 of school tomorrow.
