Highland Cow and Calf

We didn’t dare get close to these magnificent animals. Although the calves were quite big, so were their Mum’s horns!  We saw them out on an estuary (extra) while we searched for otters which we, sadly, did not find. There were black coloured Highland cattle (extra head shot) too, who would have known, I certainly didn’t….

Now we are in a « Faulty Towers » hôtel not far from the airport after coming through Monsoon rain to get here. Was I glad to safely return the hire car and not to have pranged it somewhere along the way. We now know that Her Majesty is lying in State not far away, how strange that feels. My Mum was the same age as her and she was very proud of their shared lifespans.
