Frome Town Council announced that the Mayor and Deputy Mayor would deliver the Proclamation marking the accession of His Majesty King Charles III outside the Memorial Theatre.
It was all a bit bizarre ... it was announced that the High Sheriff of Somerset “had caused” the Proclamation to be read, we all sang the National Anthem, gave 3 hearty cheers … and that was it! The Proclamation wasn't actually read. Very odd.
