We went on a belated birthday treat for Mr W, 10-pin bowling followed by a meal. We were having far too much fun to bother with photographs so this is my only option, the lanes being polished.
Several years back, when we were there for Elder Son's birthday, we got chatting to the chap who looked after the pin-resetting machinery and he took us for a 'behind the scenes' tour (we had to wear ear defenders and hi-viz jackets). The pins are now on strings, but the chap is still there, still keeping things tip-top for the players.
