On the beach
Callum’s girlfriend, Mary, comes over in the morning. Along with Leila, we head into Ann Arbour and get a Thai carry out that we eat in the park.
Then, it’s off to Martindale beach - a man-made sandy area on a lake. It’s really busy. Leila has a go on the slides. I take a few swings in the designated area - not deep, quite warm, murky. Soon enough, Leila is wanting to go home.
We take a walk/skateboard around the housing estate - if that’s the right description (extra). Large houses each on a large plot of ground. There’s a lake (extra) and a play park and lots of woods. There’s even a disused golf course that went out of business years ago.
Mary is a vegan. She cooks a mean tofu ramen for dinner … which Leila won’t eat. I, however, will and do.
An early night, because tomorrow we are canoeing on the river.
