Listening to tiny dancer

On Friday we packed up again and headed for the north east… Back to Lindisfarne for some r&r.

It started to rain as we drove … and rained and rained more. The sat nav behaved and fired us off the motorway and we narrowly avoided a road closure which held Boy and Jess up for about 2 hours.

The sense of peace as you drive over the causeway and drop the car at the car park. Nothing beats it.

It still rained on Saturday. Possibly more. But that didn’t stop us. Of we went… look out tower and beach and St Cuthbert Isle on the morning.

Coffee at the Pilgrim; lunch at the Shop and then a walk interspersed with benches to Gertrude Hyde’s garden from whence this photo is taken… my photo along side a painting I bought last year when we were there.

From the garden to the shore; where we watched the waves crash and the stones rumbling back and forward (and also a dead seal being pummelled- not pretty).

Then it was round the castle, along the harbour, up the high street and back to the hotel for a hot shower a nap and turn some more lovely food!
