A day at Cookham

A day at Cookham on the Thames near Maidenhead.  First part of the day was a visit to the Stanley Spencer Gallery - https://stanleyspencer.org.uk/ -a wonderful artist who was born there and spent much of his life there too,

Then a walk across to Formosa Island to an inlet from the Thames with interesting reflections and back to the Church with its flag at half mast, the angel in the graveyard that Spencer famously painted, and a copy of his painting of the Last Supper inside

Finally lunch at the Ferry Inn, with a very fine swan and an oarsman exposing rather more than I think he intended!
