Menaggio

A relatively early start this morning as our guests left for a couple of days at Lago Maggiore. We, instead, walked down to the village for a look at the market and then on to Menaggio by ferry.

It appears there are many more visitors here than we would typically expect at this time of year. We took an earlier ferry today, but even so it was very busy. We had another ferry in front of us which slowed us down as it dropped off and picked up passengers.

We arrived in Menaggio about 15 minutes late. The first stop was to a bar for a cappuccino and a cake. Some other people thought it was already time for beers and prosecco. We had a walk around the town for a while before stopping for lunch ourselves.

Later we took the bus back to Lenno. Strangely enough the bus seemed to be less crowded than usual.
