old friends

In about three weeks time we have our first gig in over a year. That occasion was the last time the four of us played together.  

And now as showtime approaches we’ve finally managed to get together to learn a few new songs.  And to try and remember the old ones.  But first we have a coffee and chat.  And then chat some more.

After about five hours we have a working set list.  We’re happy that the new ones work and the old ones are dusted and polished.  But most of all - we’re able to remind ourselves why we love playing together.

Neil summed it up best; "when we're playing, I don't think about anything else.  Just the music."
