Unsuccessful!

This is Monday


We seem to have had rather a lot of rain over the past few days and Mr MC likes to measure it by checking the number of inches that have fallen in one of the garden trugs.  A pigeon decided that this water would be good to drink rather than the usual pond  or fountain water.  I don't know what prompted him to  think that this was a good idea but after a few  attempts to reach the water level (quite a few inches below the rim) he admitted defeat and flew away.  I managed to get a few rather amusing shots before he left though, three of which are featured in this collage
