Distant view

We went to see Haweswater today, after a mooch around Kendal, remembering how amazing it was in 1995 but clearly the drought isn’t as severe as then. Still worth the trip there for the tranquility if nothing else (for Haweswater see extra). We came back down through Pooley Bridge (indulged in a magnificent ice cream) and the over Kirkstone Pass back to Kendal. I have never seen the sea before from Kirkstone Pass so had to pull over and take a photo or two. If you can’t quite make it out look at the photo in large and top right.

Beautiful light all day today, warm and very pleasant, and the Lakes are not inundated with people who don’t know how to behave.!
