WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES

This is the same cluster of maple leaf buds I blipped yesterday. In the former picture, the buds had been heavy and drooping after a hard rain, while today's shot is backlit by the morning sun, has dried out and is like a starburst. Notice the fully formed little leaves in today's ball of buds - they weren't even there yesterday! It's amazing how quickly these things develop given a beautiful spring day.
