Hanes teulu ~ Family history
“Dad says that the world is always changing, every second of every day, and so is everything in it, which means that the you you are right now is different from the you you were when you started reading this sentence. Crazy, right? And your memories change, too. [...] But when you take a photograph, things stay still. The way that they were, is the way that they are, is the way that they will always be.”
—Victoria Schwab
The word wagamama (わがまま) is Japanese for "self-indulgent", "self-centred", "disobedient", or "wilful" and is most often translated by the brand as "naughty child"

Dwi'n cwrdd â fy mrawd o dro i dro. Roedd fy mrawd wedi cael newyddion rhyfedd. Mae ein cefnder, sy'n byw yn Grangetown, wedi darganfod rhai o bapurau oedd perthynas i ein tad. Bu farw ein tad bron ugain mlynedd yn ôl felly nad oeddwn i ddisgwyl ffeindio rhywbeth newydd. Mae rhaid i ni ffeindio allan mwy cyn i ni wybod os mae'r papurau yn arwyddocaol. Mae'n swnio Dickensian, hen bapurau teuluol yn darganfod ar ôl flynyddoedd... ond efallai ei fod yn ddim byd o gwbl.
Rydyn ni'n mynd cwrdd eto ym mis Hydref, ar beth fyddai wedi bod canfed pen-blwydd ein mam.

I meet my brother from time to time. Our lives have followed different paths but I think we are closer now than we were in the past. Today we met at Wagamama - we enjoy the food there. My brother had strange news. Our cousin, who lives in Grangetown, has discovered some papers that belonged to our father. Our father died almost twenty years ago so I didn't expect to find something new. We have to find out more before we know if the papers are significant. It sounds Dickensian, old family papers discovered after years... but it may be nothing at all.
We are going to meet again in October, on what would have been our mother's hundredth birthday.
