Reflections in a Burn

We picked up Janice this morning and took her with us on our walk. Our first stop was Hamilton Wood where we wandered and chatted about the changes Janice has seen in the woods over the years.
Next stop was Gillingshill Nature Reserve and Reservoir, which we haven’t visited for ages. I stopped going because Fife Council, who owned it, had stopped maintaining it. The paths were so overgrown it was impossible to walk there. I heard that it was up for sale and it would appear to be under new ownership already, with the grassy paths trimmed and bushes cut back.
We saw several trees heavy with apples and, of course, stuffed our faces with delicious ripe brambles. When we crossed one of the wee bridges over the burn and looked down, there was beautiful light on the water with reflections of the tree branches and leaves - hence the close-up blip today. I cropped it in close and hiked up the saturation to make it almost abstract.
