Hummingbird and *Happy Dance* .........

......... I was going to apologise for yet another photo of a bird but with THIS bird I make no apologies ...... only my second ever capture of a hummingbird (and with only a crop and a sharpen) - not sure if it's a female Ruby Throated or a female Rufous (or something completely different - lol) - all opinions and identifications very welcome!! (please).

We spent our last full Texan day in The Moody Gardens in Galveston - it was beautiful - (initially it seemed quite expensive but we got a lot for our money) - even seven hours didn't give us time to see everything that was on offer ....... I spotted this hummie as we were leaving ..... a perfect end to a gorgeous day!!! I wanted you to see his beautiful irridiscent back and perfect wings as well as his cute little "front".

Tomorrow we leave, flying out of Houston in the early evening, arriving in the UK on Friday morning .... back to normality!!!!
