St Oswald’s Church from Grasmere garden centre


Yesterday I didn’t post a blip*. I spent most of the day stripping varnish off the outside store door. I thought the man in the paint shop had sold me far too large a tin of paint stripper but I used about two thirds of it.

This morning I put the first coat of paint on. After lunch I applied a second. It’s looking good and I’m sure was worth all the preparation. On Sunday it will get a third and final coat.

After the painting I drove to Grasmere for a short walk. Again I was very lucky to spot a free parking space.

* I did take two phone shots while watching tv and deleted them. I might see if they’re worth recovering.
