Knit and Chat-Swedish Style

After a quick dip before lunch when the stuff North wind made it feel a trifle chilly, I bussed through to Kirkwall on the invite of Northern to join a group of Swedish knitters who were gathering for a knit and chat with the locals.
The locals were definitely out numbered by the Swedish ladies who had just been in Shetland and were suitably furnished with wool and complicated Fairisle and lace patterns from Jamieson and Smith. The locals and I were knitting socks!

I arrive back from a sunny Kirkwall to a Stromness lashed by heavy rain. The upside was we had some wonderful rainbows.
