Which way to the Empire State building?

This fellow certainly is lost... I spotted him at the entrance to an industrial estate in Nether Whitacre the other day. I couldn't stop then as traffic was right on my bumper, so I went back today specifically to blip him. I have no idea what he is doing there - there's no plaque to explain his existence - but I guess it would definitely help if you were giving directions to one of the units. 'Go under the railway bridge, and when you see a big gorilla on your left, pull in there!' I think he's rather magnificent, but he's a long way from New York...
