Pupu Springs

Once of the most remarkable places ever and blipped several times before. The largest fresh water spring in Australasia, vast amounts of water gush up from underground. The water is an extraordinary colour, this is as it is. Highly sacred to Maori, it is considered taboo to even touch it. So this is where we started our day shortly after breakfast, always an invigorating experience.
Joe was working on his van conversion and Himself and I hit Takaka looking for bunting for the pirate ship; success was found in Grasshopper. We also visited the museum, several galleries and lunched outside in Dangerous Kitchen. We had one of those strange moments in a craft shop where it turned out that the woman had visited the Sheep's Head 40 years ago, with two donkeys, and had many tales to tell!
I worked in the garden in the afternoon and then we had a final stroll on the beach. Joe cooked a mean pasta and I cadged another bath.
