The tide is high

A slight lie in as today was a field trip in Hunstanton, which meant I could meet the coach there. My wife came along as she also works at the school on supply and knew most of the Year 4 students who were coming. When we got there, it was a spring tide, and council workers were opening up all the flood gates which had been closed overnight, and the waves were breaking over the promenade. A little chilly first thing, but perfect day with sunshine later. Field trip went well - waved the students off and then headed to Briarfields in Titchwell for a pint on the terrace and home to cook Gurney's fishcakes for tea.
