Bikini Koala

Koalas are a big thing in Port Macquarie. As well as the resident koalas and the inmates at the Koala Hospital, there is the Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail, with 83 one-metre high fibreglass koala sculptures, hand-painted by local artists.

Hello Koalas sculptures can be found lazing in parks, sitting under a tree, on display at a museum or relaxing in a cafe or restaurant. We saw a bright yellow and red one, no doubt called Ronald, outside a McDonalds.
