Tough Day For Some - Tougher For Others

A Veterans Breakfast is always a good start to the weekend and todays proved to be no exception. The Golden Lion at Stithians is managed by a married couple both veterans themselves. Breakfast was preceded by two minutes silence for EIIR before we launched into an hours inter service banter, just what’s needed to lift the gloom.
Home, coffee and out to Truro rugby club to watch the ‘One & All’, (Falmouth 2’s) in action. Not as one sided as Truro might have wished but with atrocious refereeing allowing an unacceptable level of violence and a Truro side with a few of their players from last weeks 1st team meant we came away with a 46-12 loss.
Meanwhile the Eagles, (Falmouth 1’s), were leaking an average of a point every 75 seconds which meant they returned from Topsham on the wrong side of 78-5.

Arriving home I nipped out to get something for Sunday lunch tomorrow, I was surprised at how many empty shelves there were in the supermarket. Back home to walk Paddy in the warm evening before settling down in front of the TV before leaving at 10:30 pm to pick up Mrs S from the end of her shift.
