Evening Primrose

I finally captured an image of an Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis) flower while it was still open. This is one of the last wildflowers still blooming in my sister’s meadow. It is unusually warm here this week with high temperatures of 85°F (29°C) or more. This is forecast to end Wednesday afternoon when a cold front brings severe weather. The temperature is supposed to drop 20 degrees after the thunderstorms go through.
