Good bye to her Majesty
Backblip
I was up early watched the last few people go past the Queens coffin. Amazing number of people from all walks of life have filed past over the last few days.
We ended up watching the events all day. Very impressive and emotional from start to finish.
Well done to all involved with everything running so smoothly. You could tell that the Queen had had a lot of input to her funeral.
Some very touching moments with the hearse driving slowly past her favourite Fell pony, Emma who had the Queens scarf draped across her saddle and then the two Corgis , Muick and Sandy sitting waiting on the steps.
All the flowers that had been left at Windsor had been laid beside the Mile walk by the Palace gardeners, it looked beautiful.
Another sad moment was when the Crown was moved from the top of the coffin and the breaking of the wand, the first time this has been televised. So sad to hear the pipes fading into the distance.
The wreath on the coffin was also beautiful with flowers from the Palaces .
RIP Queen Elizabeth.
