The queen in the garden

An old, traditional species, Brunäs dahlia. It is also in storage in the safety collection of dahlias of the Finnish National Genetic Resources Program. We had it from another gardener in our allotment area, who in turn had received it from another. This grows about 2 meters high. Dahlias are not my favorites, but this Brunäs is elegant in its majesty.
