One of the signs of autumn is when thousands of geese fly into Aberlady Bay, most of them resting on their way from the Arctic to northwest England and East Anglia, although some spend the winter close by. Today hundreds of pink feet geese kept arriving and it was not hard to sense their excitement as some even appeared to somersault down before having a drink then nibbling the vegetation while hundreds more were sleeping after their long exhausting flight. I had to content myself with my phone camera but dozens of people were watching with their huge camera lenses and no doubt taking super photos.
