Hereford to Manchester

Last day with our Camping lodger who has been great to have around, especially at washing up time.  Started the day with a full breakfast including some foraged field mushrooms from LV's wonderings at 7 am in the morning.  The fresh ones were delicious and the ones from yesterday went with the sausage, bacon, omelette and black pudding scotch egg.  Had a little walk in the nearby village by the river - here the 2 siblings pose in front of said river, before we were able to take a peek at LV's new lodgings in Woebly.  Really great house we celebrated him finally securing yesterday and a lovely little village.
After a brief coffee at the Green Bean, we set off on our way to Manchester where we arrived to have dinner with my teacher from Sale Grammar and his wife.  They served up a delicious salad, slow braised beef with pasta and tiramasu and we chatted catching up on what had happened recently - he has been diagnosed with cancer, but since last March there has been no increase in size and they are encouraged that without any treatment it seems to be under control.  Finally made our way to the campsite in Knutsford we have stayed at before and had arranged a late arrival - all went smoothly and now its time to get ready for sleep...zzzzzz
