Trip to Kilconquhar
Made good time on my trip over the water to spend a couple of days with my good friend Linda in her friends timeshare lodge, and arrived in time for lunch. Phin was such a good boy on the journey and got on well with Linda’s dog Oli (who is a Doberman/ridgeback cross). She got him as a rescue 9 or 10 years ago and despite appearances is very much a gentle giant with a big voice!
Her daughter Leah was there with her boyfriend and their 14 week puppy Bruno (a payterdske terrier). He was so cute and the bigger dogs were very gentle with him.
We headed to Elue for a romp along the beach and the boys met plenty of other dogs to run around with. Phin spent at least 20 minutes in the sea swimming up and down the shoreline.
Drove back to the lodge and dropped the car before walking back to the lovely pub in the village. It was a lovely warm day and the lager in the beer garden went down a treat.
Leah and her man left at 4 to head back to their flat in Glasgow and Linda and I walked the dogs back to the lodge where we opened the first of several bottles of wine. Oops.
We made pizza for dinner in the pizza oven which was very tasty and finally stumbled to my bed around 11 after an evening putting the world to rights.
Backblipped Friday 23rd
