St Andrews jaunt

Woke to the sound of heavy rain and would gladly have just rolled over and gone back to sleep but I had a rather desperate looking dog beside me. So nothing else FitBit but to get up and pull on yesterdays shirts and teeshirt and headed out. It was rather refreshing.

After a breakfast of grapefruit segments and warm bread with smashed avocado we got ourselves showered and into the car to head back to Elie. The rain had stopped but the high tide yesterday had left masses of seaweed behind. The boys had fun running about but didn’t do much swimming.

We took them back to the lodge and left them sleeping whilst we headed into St Andrews. Mac and cheese with a few chips went down well for lunch before a wander through the streets and a little browse in the charity shops. A stop at the supermarket to pick up dinner and some other essentials and we drive back to the lodge and a walk round the estate with the boys. Steak and chips with fried onions and mushrooms plus salad was rather tasty. We were more circumspect with our wine consumption and enjoyed a last walk with the boys around 10. It was a beautiful starry night.
