Lots of up and down … and stream crossings

Our most challenging walk this week, 10 miles over very tough ground in the remotest part of the island. Started with a number of stream crossings and a steady climb up the valley to overlook some beautiful lochs. Then a hard descent down to the loch and an hour to scramble along the edge of the loch to our lunch spot. Finally we had a challenging climb up the side of the cliffs to traverse along the edge and down to the beautiful Huisinis beach. Very rewarding day with stunning views, sighting of a herd of deer and some highland cattle…
