Cochem
Long before sunrise we left for Eltz Castle again, and (again) we had a great time on that location. With nobody around we had the castle all for ourselves. At 08.45 we were back at the hotel (no, we're NOT sleeping in our tents) and enjoyed an extended breakfast. Another highlight of this trip.
After that we went in the direction of Cochem, 23 km away from the village Löf where our hotel is located. On our way there we stopped at Castle Pyrmont. A bridge, a waterfall and a castle. What more can you wish for when you're on a photography trip.
When we finally arrived in Cochem, it was all about its imperial castle for the rest of the day. We explored many locations to shoot it from. Unfortunately the one location we'd set our hopes on was unreachable because of road work. That road that would lead us to the highest point was blocked. Nevertheless we enjoyed every minute of the day.
We went up in a chairlift and had a pizza in town later on.
Around 17:00 suddenly the weather changed and turned into a huge downpour of 30 minutes. After that the sun came back in full force and all the clouds dissapeared. Leaving us with a steamy river Mosel and a bright setting sun. That's when I captured todays blip.
On our way back to Löf the weather changed again into wet and grey and stormy. Chances are it we will not see the sun again this trip.
That's not a problem. Tomorrow morning we'll be heading back home.
