Brass on the breakwater
A hectic few days - failing to blip - losing momentum...
There's been a fair amount of family to-ing and fro-ing, plus it was the weekend of the second Ar Ymyl y Tir/On Land's Edge festival of the arts in relation to local landscape and history: a marvellous diversity of creative talent and imaginative input, one of which was Brass On The Breakwater pictured here, a performance by the Goodwick Brass Band of a newly-commissioned work by local composer Jobina Tinnemans (thumbnailed next to the conductor).
The sky obliged by providing a spectacular backdrop (extra) but the wind was FREEZING!! Most people had come unprepared for the sudden shift from almost-summer to almost-winter and there was a rush to the cafe as soon as the performance ended.
